This role provides remote and flexible working. There is a requirement for regular working within the Council Offices, subject to variation, dependent on business need.
Description
We are looking for two customer focussed individuals to be part of our small Revenues and Benefits Team. You will mainly be dealing with Council Tax and Housing Benefit customers and related work.
Whilst experience of working within a Revenues and Benefits team would be desirable, we are able to offer the opportunity to study for a professional qualification as an IRRV apprentice to the right candidate and what is essential is that you have:
* A strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
* A positive “can do” attitude to help us deliver the highest quality standards of service for our customers.
* Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Attention to detail, with good levels of accuracy.
About this role
As a Revenues and Benefits Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring accurate, professional, and timely case management service to our customers across a range of service areas and activities.
* Undertaking non-complex casework that requires an understanding of relevant service processes, regulations, and legislation.
* Delivering excellent customer service.
* Ensuring strict confidentiality is maintained and data protection rules are followed.
* Promoting and supporting customer self-service.
* Identifying improvements in our customer and service provision.
