An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Brighton & Hove Community Phlebotomy Service providing Community based care across the City
The new post holder will join our Established group of Phlebotomists within our team base at Hove Polyclinic where they will work across both our Domiciliary caseload and may also provide phlebotomy services as an out patients function.

Main duties of the job
The Brighton and Hove Community Phlebotomy Service are looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to provide our service to our communities within patients own homes, with our dynamic team working along side our Community Nursing colleagues.
Suitable candidates will ideally be competent in phlebotomy, although training and development can be supported to individuals looking to enhance their clinical skills.

Person Specification
Experience
* Relevant significant experience of working in a caring environment, either in health, social or voluntary services
* Basic numeracy and ability to write simple reports
* Experience of working with adults and/or experience of working in community or home care services.
* Basic understanding of statutory health and social services.
Skills
* Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
* Ability to visit patients in the community unsupervised
* Ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels, including clients, carers, health and social care colleagues and other professionals
* Competent ability to assist in the treatments of a wide range of conditions.
* Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
* Able to prioritise and plan own workload.
* Ability to understand work related boundaries and refer matters of importance to a senior colleague
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to prioritise routine work from a variety of sources, meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
Qualifications
* Good standard of education.
* NVQ level III in Health Care or equivalent experience
