An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the busy Student Accommodation Office Team on a fixed term appointment from early May to 30 October 2026.
The Team provides advice and guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the college throughout their full academic lifecycle. This involves the room allocation into halls of residence and information and support on accommodation available in the private sector. The Team has extensive knowledge and understanding of Private Housing Legislation and Tenancy Agreements/Licenses and regularly keep up to date with the changes and amendments to Private Sector legislation.
You will be responsible for responding to the enquiries from students, prospective students and staff, which will come through via email, telephone and in person. You will also provide administrative support on key tasks, such as summer accommodation enquiries and bookings, as well as supporting the management of the Imperial Home Solutions Private Accommodation website.
You will need to provide a consistently high level of customer service and work within Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters.
1. A Level or equivalent or evidenced experience in a similar role, preferably in Higher or Further Education
2. Experience of working in a busy customer focused environment
3. Effective written and oral communication skills for dealing with a wide range of customers and sensitivity to their needs
4. Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, Sharepoint
5. Strong customer focused approach showing confidence in dealing with people
6. Ability to exercise initiative
7. Organised, managed and efficient office administrative skills
8. Ensure that enquiries and tasks are dealt with quickly, efficiently and to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
9. Ability to work within a team
10. A flexible approach to working, including occasional evenings and weekends as and when required, and able to work at any location across all Imperial campuses, as reasonably requested
