The Role
As a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring accurate colour matching and a quality finish in line with company and customer expectations. This is a hands-on role within a professional bodyshop environment, where attention to detail and consistency are key.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking, sanding, and surface preparation
2. Mix and apply paint using the appropriate spraying techniques to achieve a high-quality finish
3. Ensure colour accuracy and consistency across all work completed
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of paint products, materials, and spraying methods, attending training where required
5. Use all safety equipment correctly and follow health and safety procedures at all times
6. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a clean and safe standard, with particular attention to fire safety
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders to meet production targets and quality standards
8. Report any concerns relating to health, safety, or equipment promptly
Experience & Requirements
9. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer
10. ATA accreditation preferred but not essential
11. Strong understanding of paint systems, preparation techniques, and spray application
12. High attention to detail with a focus on quality and finish
13. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bodyshop environment
14. A professional and safety-conscious approach to work
