Are you a dynamic and dedicated educator passionate about fostering young minds? Randstad's partnership school in Watford are looking for a year 1 teacher to join their team from April 2024 until the end of the academic year. This role will be paid to scale as the teacher will be taking on full-teacher responsibility for this time. You will be working with a welcoming, caring and supportive team and will receive PPA time alongside your year group partner to plan your upcoming lessons. The school has fantastic transport links and boasts an impressive site with modern indoor and outdoor facilities.
This is a full time role, however a job share would be considered for successful candidates.
Responsibilities of your Year 1 Teacher Role:
1. Plan exciting lessons, in line with school long-term plans already in place
2. Deliver creative and stimulating lessons tailored to KS1 curriculum objectives
3. Nurture a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth
4. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development
5. Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience
6. Uphold high standards of professionalism and adhere to school policies and procedures
Requirements of your Year 1 Teacher Role:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent- essential
8. Experience teaching EYFS or KS1 students- desirable
9. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with young children
11. Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a flexible supply teaching role
12. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) and eligibility to work in the UK
