Adults Social Worker – Mid Essex (Expression of Interest) – Permanent, Full Time. Location: Chelmsford, Braintree & Maldon. Working style: Community-based worker. About The Role
Adults Social Worker - Mid Essex (Expression of Interest). This is a permanent, full-time role. Mid Essex covers the Chelmsford, Braintree and Maldon area. You will work within the statutory Care Act framework, focusing on assessments, reviews, support planning and safeguarding, with a person-centred approach to help individuals live more independently and with greater choice and control. You may interact with colleagues across Essex County Council and travel around the region as required. A driving licence and the ability to travel is essential, or you must have suitable alternative mobility arrangements.

About You
If you share our vision and enjoy meeting people and hearing their stories, you might be interested in this role. You should be a Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with a balance of creative thinking, reliability and practical ability to get things done. You will have a broad understanding of statutory responsibilities and a commitment to meeting them in a person-centred way. You may have experience chairing meetings and you should be able to develop strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to provide a supportive framework.
Travel around Essex is part of the role; a driving licence and car, or the ability to meet mobility requirements through other means, is essential.
