Job Overview
Compassionate and reliable Phlebotomists are needed to support patients across Mid Essex. The role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide high‑quality phlebotomy services to patients in their homes, residential care settings and community clinics, and to support local GP practices and community healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
* Deliver timely diagnostic venepuncture and INR testing following established protocols for housebound and community‑based patients.
* Work independently in community settings while remaining part of a supportive and collaborative team.
* Ensure accurate specimen labelling and safe, secure transportation of samples to designated collection points.
* Consistently maintain patient comfort and dignity during each interaction.
Qualifications
* Certificate in Phlebotomy.
Driving
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car.
Experience
* Previous experience in phlebotomy (essential).
* Experience dealing with the public, face‑to‑face (essential).
* Community related experience (desirable).
* Knowledge of Systm One (desirable).
Skills
* Competent computer skills and experience using Microsoft packages (essential).
