Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to individuals in our beautiful, refurbished care home. You will be part of a team focussed on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence. A strong emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills is vital, as you will be interacting with clients and their families.
Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Supporting individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
* Implementing care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all requirements are met effectively.
* Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Maintaining accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Assisting with activities and at events
* Utilising IT systems to document care activities and manage schedules efficiently.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* A positive and cheerful approach is key to help our residents to be happy and well cared for
* Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
* Very basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 48 per week
