Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Barnsley (S70, S71) Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time Support pupils’ learning and help them reach their full potential in a positive classroom environment. GSL Education are delighted to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant for schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and help ensure every pupil can succeed. Main Responsibilities: Support pupils during lessons and activities. Assist in implementing learning plans and monitoring progress. Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support pupil development. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar school-based role. Good communication and organisational skills. Patient, approachable, and supportive attitude. Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
