As a trusted advisor, you will guide clients once their long‑term goals and financial plan have been established, stepping in to implement and manage the strategies that help turn those needs into reality. You will actively oversee their investment approach, provide thoughtful and ongoing financial advice, make necessary portfolio adjustments, and coordinate with specialists to ensure every aspect of their financial life is aligned and well‑managed.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance, and support the analysis of data (investment portfolio and cash flow) to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement and additional services.
* Research and understand the client’s industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
* Design customised solutions that address the client’s specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank’s portfolio.
* Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
* Provide guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk‑management and wealth‑management strategies, and updates on market trends.
* Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
* Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.
* Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
* Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well‑developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.
* Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identifying the need for inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments.
* Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
* Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
* Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external, to solve problems creatively and effectively.
* Communicate complex information and influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience maintaining and deepening relationships within a High Net Worth client base, ensuring consistent support and remarkable service.
* Hold an RDR Level4 qualification, complemented by a financial planning qualification.
* Demonstrated outstanding relationship‑management skills and experience working directly with individuals and families to support multi‑layered financial needs.
* Thorough understanding of clients’ goals, priorities, and circumstances, and ability to provide tailored guidance across a broad range of wealth‑management solutions.
* Experience providing regulated advice within the UK to High Net Worth clients.
* Experience building a client base using internal and external networks.
* Effective in gaining an in‑depth understanding of clients’ needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth‑management solutions.
* Knowledge of delivering high‑quality bespoke advice, maximising value for clients, and negotiating the best commercial outcome.
* Assessed on critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job‑specific technical skills.
Location
This role can be based in Manchester or Liverpool.
Regulatory Note
This role is deemed a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the holder to have mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal company benchmarks.
