Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and friendly Hotel Receptionist/Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
* Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly welcome.
* Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
* Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
* Maintain accurate records of guest bookings and reservations.
* Process payments and manage billing inquiries with precision.
* Address any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Assist in managing phone calls, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times.
* Promote hotel services and upsell additional offerings to enhance guest experience including hot & cold beverages
* Regular patrols of the building to ensure guests are keeping noise to a minimum and using your initiative when dealing with tricky situations
* To sweep & mop the bar & restaurant floors & the outside decking area after hours and to complete any cleaning jobs given by management
* To create social media posts/posters on request
* Bartending - maintain a high level of cleanliness, serve snacks and beverages to guests
Experience
* Previous experience in bar work, guest services, security or hospitality is preferred.
* Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to cater to diverse guests.
* Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
* Familiarity with hotel management software is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
* A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a hotel environment is crucial.
* Keen eye for detail
The required hours are Friday & Saturday evenings from 11.30pm-7am. we would consider a job share so taking on two people to cover one night each, so if you'd prefer just one shift please state this when applying.
