The Role
Based on-site at HMP Highpoint you will deliver Generalist Tutoring, working with small groups of prison-based learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations.
Our Tutors ensure that the appropriate training plans are in place and that the advice and guidance is given when required while ensuring they deliver the highest level of quality courses that engage with the learners and help them to reach their potential.
Our Generalist Tutors work with our management team and other PeoplePlus staff to familiarise themselves with the curriculum and individual schemes of learning. They provide cover to small groups of prison-based learners across a range of subjects including English and Maths and vocational subjects as required. They will support with the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours while supporting them with their long-term goals and aspirations.

What are we looking for?
* Level 2 Maths and English, or equivalent
* An expert in your field with substantial experience
* Experience of delivering training
* A teaching or assessing qualification is desirable
* Ability to display a wide range of training methods to engage learners along with flexibility to deliver qualifications across a variety of subjects
* Teaching experience is essential.
If you don’t currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, we are able to support you through the appropriate qualifications and assessments, as part of your probationary period.
