Location: Stechford Leisure Centre, Birmingham, B33 8QNSalary: £35,279.87 plus excellent benefitsSchedule: Full time 40 hours per week, flexible to work earlies, lates and weekends, between the hours 6am -10.30pm.

As a Facility Manager in our team, you will lead the safe, efficient and successful operation of a busy community facility, ensuring every visit positively impacts the people who use it. You will play a key role in creating an environment that is welcoming, well-maintained, and focused on delivering real value to the community.

In this role, your work has purpose. You will help shape the experience of local communities by creating a space that is safe, clean, and engaging – a place where people can improve their health, wellbeing, and sense of connection.


What you'll do as a Facility Manager

* Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operation of the facility, ensuring it is safe, warm, clean, friendly and fun for all users.
* Support the General Manager in delivering commercial growth, performance targets and operational efficiency.
* Build and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring full compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
* Lead, motivate and develop Duty Manager teams, with a focus on engagement, performance and continuous improvement.
* Use data and key performance indicators to monitor performance, drive decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Develop strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and the community to enhance service delivery and future growth opportunities.

You will be a great fit for this role if you have:

* Experience in facilities management or a similar operational leadership role.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
* A proactive approach to health and safety, with a clear understanding of compliance requirements.
* The ability to analyse data and performance metrics to drive improvements and deliver results.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with a customer‑focused mindset.


Vetting and checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
