About the Role
As the Clinical Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to lead and support our team of nurses, ensuring they deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll take responsibility for clinical oversight, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance – while being a visible and supportive leader for the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
5. Lead, supervise, and support the nursing team to deliver safe and effective care
6. Review and maintain personalised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and professionals
7. Ensure safe medication administration, ordering, and stock control
8. Monitor residents’ health, responding to changes and ensuring timely referrals/escalation
9. Support nurse training, induction, supervisions, and clinical competency assessments
10. Maintain full compliance with CQC standards and relevant care legislation
11. Act as “Person in Charge” in the absence of the Registered Manager
12. Represent Iris Care Group in multi-agency meetings and build strong external relationships
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
13. Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or Paramedic with valid NMC/HCPC registration
14. At least 3 years’ experience in a healthcare setting
15. Excellent knowledge of CQC and care sector regulations
16. Leadership experience in managing or mentoring nurses
17. Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organisational skills
18. Investigating and resolving patient complaints involving clinical staff
19. Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care
Desirable:
20. Previous experience in a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager role
21. Involvement in CQC inspections
22. Management qualification (or willingness to work towards)
23. Experience in budget management or resource planning
24. Clinical Manager – 37.5 hours per week (alternating weekly pattern):Week 1:Monday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)Thursday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)Friday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)
Week 2:
Tuesday: 08:00–16:30 (7.5 hrs)Wednesday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)Saturday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)Sunday: 08:00–20:15 (11.25 hrs)
