What You'll Be Doing: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you'll be the go-to person for a child (or a few!) who needs a little extra support to navigate their school day. You'll work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a fun, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Your Day Might Include:
· One-on-one support with a child with Autism
· Helping with creative classroom activities
· Using tools like PECS, Makaton, or visual aids
· Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well being
· Joining in on playtime, story time, and even the occasional school trip!
What We're Looking For:
· Experience with Autism or SEN (bonus points if you've used PECS or Makaton!)
· A calm, caring, and enthusiastic personality
· Team spirit and great communication skills
· A passion for helping children reach their full potential
· Relevant qualifications are a plus, but not essential
