2. Interpret welding process specifications
3. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
4. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
5. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
6. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
7. Computer-aided design (CAD)
8. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
9. Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
10. Determine weldability of materials
11. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
12. Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
13. Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
14. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
