We’re recruiting
Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help create a future where learning disabled people live their best lives.
We understand that life can be complicated for everyone, but some individuals are prevented from pursuing their dreams. Many learning disabled people lack a voice in the support they receive. They may not decide what work they do, how they spend or save their money, or try out new hobbies they love.
You can make a difference.
Join our expanding team in Kingsteignton, Devon, and receive comprehensive training to become a confident Support Worker.
If our values—Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary—resonate with you, then we share common ground. Support learning disabled adults in developing skills, achieving life goals, and thriving in your community, guided by these values.
What we offer you
* Location: Kingsteignton, Devon
* Salary: £12.51 per hour
* Working hours: Flexible shifts to suit your needs and those you support. Sleep-in shifts paid at £58 per shift plus over 12% holiday pay.
* Holidays: 33 days of annual leave, including eight statutory bank holidays.
* Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% extra during Christmas.
* Training & development: Fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, earning while you learn.
* Additional benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives.
What you’ll be doing
Your daily tasks will vary—from supporting someone with their weekly shopping to outdoor activities. You might assist with personal care, accompany someone to a concert, help them build confidence in using public transport, or teach money management skills. The goal is to support individuals in discovering new interests, achieving goals, and maintaining vital relationships.
You’ll provide high-quality care and support for learning disabled adults, listening to their needs and helping with daily tasks like medication, cooking, and confidence-building. Supporting a variety of shifts will help balance your work and personal life.
Having a full driving license is beneficial but not essential. Since public transport to our service in Kingsteignton is limited, access to a car or assistance with transportation is preferable.
We look forward to meeting you at our Kingsteignton Service!
