We have a new opportunity for a Pensions Team Lead to join our team based in Grangemouth. This is a pivotal role in ensuring a proactive, professional, and confidential pensions advisory service is provided to our employees.
As Pensions Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising two Pensions Administrators and offering direct support to the Pensions, Risk & Insurance Manager in the daily operations of the team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing complex pension administration tasks, ensuring all records are maintained and updated on the Mantle system.
2. Managing the process for member events, including retirements, deaths, early leavers, transfers out, and illustrative quotations.
3. Ensuring the accuracy of Defined Benefit member data to meet statutory obligations such as Triennial Valuation, Actuarial Reporting, and IAS19 disclosures.
4. Maintaining accurate DB and DC member data to meet Group Life data requirements and monthly contribution audits.
5. Overseeing the preparation of the monthly pension payroll.
6. Supporting the team with complex pension queries, providing coaching and training.
7. Arranging for annual tasks to be completed within agreed timescales, including member benefit statements, annual pension increases, and circulation of P60s.
8. Maintaining close liaison with the Group Pensions, Risk & Insurance Manager to meet member, Trustee, and legal requirements.
What are we looking for?
We seek an experienced candidate with a strong background in a similar role or ready to advance in their career. The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience working with various occupational pension schemes, with a focus on Defined Benefits (DB).
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with DB knowledge being essential.
* Experience at Senior Administrator or Supervisor level is preferred.
* Knowledge of the Mantle Pensions system is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and the MS Office suite.
* Strong communication skills, both within the team and with wider stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize a busy workload, meet deadlines, and fulfill disclosure requirements.
