We are currently recruiting Bank Radiology Department Assistants who are looking for the ability to work flexibly or to work some additional hours, to join our radiology department bank where you will be working within a Trust that is rated outstanding for its care.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt maintains a register of Temporary Workers "The Bank". Joining the Trust's Bank does not constitute a contract of employment between the bank member and the Trust. Main duties of the job
Assisting radiographers and radiologists in examination rooms, including assisting with the positioning of patients and setting up equipment.
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and examination room.
Welcoming patients and giving appropriate support as needed with preparation for the examination.

Job responsibilities
* Assist the radiographer during procedure, and maintain the environment.
* Monitor patients before and during clinical procedures.
* Respond to emergency situations effectively and appropriately.
* Assist radiographic staff in carrying out patient transfers.
* Prepare trolleys for aseptic techniques.
* Assist radiologists with procedures under ultrasound or fluoroscopic CT.
* Support ward staff and porters with transfer of patients.
* Replenishment of stock in procedure rooms.
* Assist with file copying and digitisation requirements.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE (grade C or above) English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
* Relevant NVQ at Level 3 or Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support
Skills and Competencies
* Pleasant and professional manner, able to empathise
* Able to work unsupervised
Knowledge
* Understanding of hospital environments and medical terminology
* Understanding of confidentiality and data security requirements
