Job Description: Mathematics Teacher
Come and join the UK's largest provider of complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people — no matter your experience, we have jobs for everyone.
We are seeking a motivated, qualified teacher specializing in Mathematics to work with KS3/4, with the ability to support KS5. The successful candidate will work in small groups and one-to-one with students. As a small hospital school, teachers are often required to teach other subjects; therefore, the ability to support or teach other subjects is desirable but not essential.
Our school is part of Ivetsey Bank Hospital, catering for up to 30 young people aged 12-18 years receiving inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (Tier 4 CAMHs). We focus on supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions requiring intensive inpatient treatment. Our facilities include an Ofsted-registered school, high-intensity suite, occupational therapy kitchen, gym, outdoor sports area (including a basketball court), three therapy cabins, a keep-fit area, and a multi-faith cabin.
What you'll be working:
* 3 Days Per Week
* Term Time Only
What you'll be doing:
As part of the Active Care Group, our school caters for up to 37 young people aged 12-18 years in inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (Tier 4 CAMHs). Following our recent Ofsted inspection, leaders are ambitious for all pupils, many of whom have missed education due to ill health. We tailor support to individual needs, enabling students to achieve their best and resume their education when well enough.
You will join a supportive, experienced team of education and support staff. Full training, development, and a bespoke induction programme will be provided, along with opportunities to network with teachers from other Active Care Group sites. With colleague support, you will develop skills, confidence, and experience to thrive in this challenging yet rewarding environment.
What you'll have:
The successful applicant should have a passion for providing creative, high-quality learning experiences. You will be responsible for teaching small groups, designing, and implementing programmes of study. With a dynamic and inclusive approach, you will have high expectations for students and the drive to help them achieve optimal learning outcomes. An empathic, flexible, and adaptable approach to individual needs is essential.
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
