Top of Funnel Acquisition Senior Manager – Retail Loans
Join us as a Top of Funnel Acquisition Senior Manager – Retail Loans at Barclays where you will help shape the future of banking by driving customer acquisition and growth for the Retail Personal Loans product. You will identify and engage new and existing Barclays customers across various markets and channels, develop and optimise customer entry points into our journeys, leverage data and market insights to identify trends and opportunities, and manage relationships and integrations with aggregators. The position is highly commercial and data‑driven, requiring collaboration with stakeholders across the business, in particular in marketing, product and technology, to deliver acquisition targets, enhance performance, and diversify customer reach through innovative strategies.
Responsibilities
* Execution of market research to understand the competitive landscape, identify market trends and opportunities, and develop strategies to capture market share within the retail personal loans segment.
* Development of appropriate pricing models for different loan products, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
* Implementation and management of innovative financial solutions aligned to the bank’s objectives, tailored to the retail personal loans segment, including loan products and related services.
* Identification and forging of strategic partnerships with borrowers, aggregators, technology providers, and industry experts to expand product offerings and reach new client segments.
* Management of key stakeholder relationships within target customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Development and implementation of sales strategies, including establishing sales targets, identifying sales channels, and setting objectives for loan terms to support the negotiation process.
* Monitoring of key leading and lagging metrics such as new client acquisition, loan volume, revenue generation, and market share to assess the performance of the retail personal loans segment.
Qualifications
* Experience managing aggregators and affiliates, particularly relevant to the personal loans market (e.g., ClearScore, Moneysupermarket).
* Numerical and technical literacy to manage digital integration projects with partners.
* Considerable commercial acumen and influencing skills.
* Demonstrable experience in loans or unsecured lending acquisition, ideally within Retail Banking, Fintech or Financial Services.
* Experience with marketing and distribution channels, including aggregators and price comparison websites (PCWs).
* Ability to execute through influence, managing complex stakeholder networks.
* Commercial acumen with a focus on innovation and growth delivery.
* Deep understanding of the personal loans market dynamics and competitor landscape.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
