SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: West Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary to Permanent

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need a different approach to learning?
We are working with Alternative Provisions and specialist settings supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many pupils have experienced barriers to mainstream education and require consistent, patient and nurturing adults.
The Role:
Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Managing challenging behaviour using restorative approaches
Supporting emotional regulation and social skills development
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Encouraging engagement in education and positive outcomes
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or vulnerable young people
Calm, resilient and consistent approach
Strong behaviour management skills
Youth work, or care backgrounds welcome
