1) Exercise of general professional duties
A teacher who is not a principal shall carry out professional duties as circumstances require, including:
* if employed as a teacher under the reasonable direction of the principal of the school;
* if employed by a board on terms where they are not assigned to a specific school, under the reasonable direction of the board and the principal of any school they may be required to work in.
2) Exercise of particular duties
Teachers shall perform specific duties as reasonably assigned by the principal or the employing authority, including:
* Teaching and preparing lessons;
* Assessing and reporting on pupils’ development and progress;
* Providing advice and guidance to pupils and communicating with parents;
* Participating in meetings and staff development;
* Maintaining discipline and safeguarding health and safety;
* Participating in examinations and management activities;
* Managing administrative tasks such as attendance and supervision.
8) Number of days/Hours of work
Details on work days, hours, and breaks, including provisions for cover and flexibility, are specified.
9) Staff cover
Guidelines for providing cover for absent teachers, with specific conditions based on school size.

Section 1 - Essential Criteria
* Qualifications: Recognized teaching qualification and Honours Degree (2:2 or higher) in Business Studies.
* Experience: At least 3 years teaching Business Studies at KS4 and 1 year teaching A Level or Level 3 BTEC Business, with leadership qualities and experience using digital media.
* Registration: Must be registered with GTCNI before starting.
Section 2 - Additional Essential Criteria
* Knowledge of the NI Curriculum, safeguarding, SEND, assessment methods, and IT systems.
* Skills: Effective teaching, classroom management, inclusivity, teamwork, and communication skills.
* Values: Alignment with the school's values and ethos.
Section 3 - Desirable Criteria
* Experience teaching A Level Business Studies, extra-curricular contributions, and willingness to act as Assistant Head of Careers.
