Job Purpose: The Stores Operative plays a key role in the smooth running of warehouse operations by managing the movement of goods in and out, processing warehouse tasks, preparing stock for production, and organising transport and documentation for outgoing products. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, IT competency, and forklift handling skills. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Goods In: Receive, inspect, and sign for incoming goods Check deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies Enter stock into the inventory system and store it in designated locations. Goods Out: Pick and prepare goods accurately based on work order requirements Organise packaging, labelling, and documentation (e.g. delivery notes, certificates, job packs) Book and coordinate collections with transport providers Ensure goods are shipped in line with schedule and specifications. Warehouse & Inventory: Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock takes Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organised Follow health & safety and company procedures.
