Director of Preconstruction – Mission-Critical Construction (Remote Role)
A leading design-build engineering firm delivering high-uptime infrastructure projects—data centers, power systems, and advanced industrial facilities is seeking an experienced Director of Preconstruction to lead early-stage project development.
In this strategic leadership role, you’ll guide teams through cost planning, risk analysis, value engineering, and proposal development. Your work directly shapes financial precision, project feasibility, and client trust across a portfolio of complex, high-value builds.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead estimating and budgeting across mission-critical projects
* Oversee procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement
* Develop and refine preconstruction processes for efficiency and accuracy
* Provide financial oversight and client-facing leadership throughout pursuit phases
What You Bring:
* 15 years in construction, including 10 in data center or high-reliability facilities
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
* Deep expertise in estimating and cost modeling
* Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams remotely
* Skilled in tools such as Procore, P6/MS Project, and estimating platforms
