Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Salary: £84 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work full-time from 8:45 AM to 2:46 PM in a supportive and inclusive school environment in Newcastle. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the academic and personal development of pupils with additional needs.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
* Assist the class teacher in delivering structured, inclusive learning activities.
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
* Encourage the development of pupils’ confidence, independence, and communication skills.
* Support pupils during classroom activities, break times, and transitions.
* Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties).
* A calm, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting individual needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in an educational setting.
* A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
