Our Turning Point Scotland Services in North Lanarkshire are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Since 2013 the Turning Point Scotland, North Lanarkshire Support Services have worked in close partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, North Lanarkshire HSCP and the relevant social work departments to empower people to take control and make decisions about their own care and support.
The Turning Point Scotland North Lanarkshire service predominantly provides self-directed support, which allows individual to have and use their own budgets which has been personally allocated to help people with a variety of needs including Physical and/or learning disabilities, autism and Asperger’s syndrome, acquired brain injury, early onset dementia, Huntingdon’s disease, mental health conditions and people who may have complex support needs and/or forensic histories to get the support most appropriate to their requirements.
Our service principal is to promote independence and choice and to work with the people we support to enable them to lead the life they choose. We will support people to access ordinary life experiences including education, employment and social activities as well as providing support to sustain and develop relationships and skills for everyday living including budgeting, personal care and domestic skills for the person to maintain their own home.
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.
We currently have 44 staff who support 19 individuals, 7 of these are forensic services, this is a developing focus for us in the North Lanarkshire service and is being done in conjunction with North Lanarkshire Council
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

As an Assistant Service Co-ordinator, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
Please note that IT skills are required for all our vacancies.
Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
