GSL Education are looking to appoint an inspiring Sports Coach to work with schools in the Barnsley (S70, S71) area, helping students develop physical skills, teamwork, and a love of sport. In this role, the Sports Coach will deliver engaging coaching sessions across a range of sports, encouraging participation, skill development, and positive attitudes towards health and fitness. Core Role Expectations: Plan and deliver structured coaching sessions tailored to pupils’ abilities as a Sports Coach. Promote teamwork, fair play, and personal development through sport. Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Assess progress and provide feedback to pupils and teaching staff. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support wider physical education objectives. What We’re Looking For: Relevant coaching qualifications in sport or physical education. Experience delivering sports coaching, ideally in a school or youth setting. Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
