Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal Landscape Architect based in the City of Bristol, with the flexibility to work remotely as needed. The Principal Landscape Architect will lead on key landscape design and planning projects, providing innovative and practical strategies to develop vibrant public and private spaces. Primary responsibilities include preparing design plans, leading project teams, engaging with clients and stakeholders, conducting site evaluations, and ensuring project goals align with the broader vision of sustainable and successful urban environments.
Supporting and mentoring junior membets ofvthr team is also a key part of the role.
Qualifications
* Experience in landscape architecture, working with urban design, and masterplanning would be an advantage.
* Strong skills in conceptual design, spatial planning, and creative problem-solving
* Proficiency in design and visualisation tools such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software
* Ability to lead projects, manage timelines, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage with stakeholders
* In-depth understanding of sustainable design principles and environmental practices in landscape architecture
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
* A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field (a post-graduate qualification is desirable)
* Professional accreditation (e.g., chartered membership of the Landscape Institute or similar) is highly desirable
