Your new role
As Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function within one of the group’s specialist divisions, based in Lisburn. Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting short-term projects. This is a 6-month contract offering exposure to a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Bank reconciliations and payment processing
2. Preparation of VAT and CIS returns
3. Sales reporting and overhead analysis
4. Intepany and balance sheet reconciliations
5. Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
6. Supporting ad hoc finance projects and tasks
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should have:
7. Experience in a similar finance or accounting role
8. A qualification such as part-qualified accountant, newly qualified, qualified by experience, or accounts technician
9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
10. Excellentmunication and teamwork abilities
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
12. A proactive approach and ability to work independently
