Description
Concept to detail design throughout the life cycle of company products.
Support all aspects of product configuration.
Use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) programmes and supporting systems (data management systems).
Designing to meet exacting customer requirements and industry standards.
Technical presentations to customers.
Working closely with internal stakeholders including team members, chief engineers, programme management, manufacturing and other company sites.
Working closely with manufacturing to reduce non-conformances on products.
Liaise with other sites to assist with the offload of packages of work.
Mentoring/ coaching of junior team members.Profile
A successful Senior Design Engineer should have:
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
Good knowledge of design and manufacturing processes, preferably related to the Aerospace industry
Fully conversant with traditional and computerised design and analysis methods
Good verbal and written communication skills
General computer literacy (Microsoft office)
Experience of CAD (CATIA V5 preferred, but training will be provided)
Job Offer
