THE EMPLOYER IS: SPACES BY LIMINAL This is an entry level role in our company designed to support the design and production of bespoke furniture and interior projects. The participant will work alongside the director, gaining hands on experience in both design workflow and practical workshop tasks, with ongoing mentoring and training. We are looking for someone who is passionate about high quality design and materials and has an eye for attention to detail. This is a small company so you must be able to work independently and show initiative. There will be occasional travel required in this job with site installations taking place across Ireland. We are looking for someone who can be flexible with their working hours. You will be representing our company while on site so we are looking for someone who will take pride in our company values and meet the high standards our clients expect. While this is an entry level position experience in using hand tools is essential, training will be provided on our machinery, but you must be confident and willing to learn. Given the size of our company, it's essential that we find a candidate who not only meets the requirements but also aligns well with our small team dynamic. We will start with an initial phone interview for candidates who stand out and then invite those we believe have the strongest potential to meet in person. Due to time constraints, we are unable to respond to candidates who are not selected or do not meet the listed criteria.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with CAD drawings, measurements and basic design documentation.
* Supporting project preparation, including labelling parts and organising materials.
* Helping with basic workshop tasks such as sanding, assembly and finishing under supervision.
* Undertaking repetitive tasks like assembling cabinets.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
* Assisting with deliveries, site measurements and project installations where appropriate - travel will be required.
* Lifting, moving and manufacturing using sheet materials.
* Contributing to workflow planning and problem-solving discussions.
* Learning and following health & safety procedures and workplace best practice.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Ability to travel independently to and from the workshop.
* A full, clean driving licence, as occasional driving may be required for deliveries or site visits in rental vans.
* Willingness to learn, take instruction and work safely in a workshop environment.
* Flexibility to work overtime some weeks into the evening and different days in the week.
* Experience using hand tools. Eg, Drills, sanders, etc.
* Passionate about high quality design and materials.
* Work independently on your own at times.
* Well organised and good time managment.
* Physically able to lift sheet materials and cabinets.
* Able to work in a small team.
