On behalf of our client, Royal London. We are looking for a Finance Manager, FP&A for a 6 Month Contract based in London. Please note this is a hybrid working model.
Job Description - The Role
Operating within FP&A, the position will focus on improving forecasting accuracy, strengthening deliverables, and refining existing processes. The aim is to build on current frameworks, introduce best practice, and help mature the organisation's financial planning approach to drive better insight, efficiency, and decision making.
This role supports the business by delivering analytical financial reporting, tracking performance against key targets, and enhancing financial forecasting models through effective use of technology and strong commercial understanding.
What You'll Do
Support the production of high quality management information that ensures financial performance is understood by business management.
Provide well-considered analysis that contributes to the understanding of the financials and profitability of the business.
Contribute to the production and analysis of the monthly P&L, understanding key drivers to variances and considering their future impacts.
Contribute to the regular forecasting and annual Business Plan processes, understanding key drivers to variances.
Engage with business stakeholders to maintain knowledge on AuM, Flows and Revenue.
Evolve MI to meet business requirements and maintain relevance, leveraging technology and automation as far as possible to make processes efficient.
The Skills You'll Need
Produce monthly MI analysis on AuM, Flows and Revenue, presenting insights to business stakeholders and the Head of FP&A.
Support automation and reporting enhancements using Anaplan and Power BI.
Provide clear, insightful commentary on business and financial performance.
Own revenue variance analysis versus plan, forecast and prior periods, ensuring full understanding of underlying drivers.
Oversee and guide Finance Operations to ensure accurate monthly accruals.
Lead business partnering for the Sales function, including attending monthly performance reviews and challenging variances.
Support production of the 5-year Business Plan for AuM, Flows and Revenue, modelling analysis and challenging business inputs.
Produce high quality supporting analysis for planning and forecasting cycles.
Identify, document and operate key risks and controls within areas of responsibility.
Ensure controls are performed accurately and on time, evidencing completion.
Recommend and implement control improvements, ensuring all risks, processes and controls are fully documented.
Ensure all files meet Group standards for EUCs.
