We are looking for an exceptional nursing leader to step into the role of
Cardiology Matron
a position that will give you the chance to shape services, empower specialist teams, and make a real difference to the lives of our patients. As Matron, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership across our cardiology services, working closely with the Lead Cardiology Nurse and the wider leadership team. Youll champion high standards of care, nurture and develop our specialist nurses, and support innovation to improve patient pathways and experiences. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about clinical excellence, thrives on leading people, and wants the opportunity to influence the future of cardiology services. What youll be doing
Leading and inspiring the cardiology nursing team to deliver outstanding care.
Working clinically within a subspecialty (heart failure, arrhythmia, chest pain, or cardiac rehab) while role-modelling best practice.
Developing nurse-led outpatient services and driving improvements in patient pathways.
Supporting operational and budgetary management, ensuring safe and sustainable services.
Advising on workforce planning, capacity, and service transformation.
Contributing to the Trusts Nursing, Midwifery and AHP strategy and playing a central role in our long-term vision for cardiology.
