Your new company Hays Recruitment is proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school that is at the heart of its local community as they are looking for a motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant to support a KS2 resource provision that has 12 pupils of varying needs. This school is based in South Warrington, and they are looking to appoint a teaching assistant for a full-time long-term contract that will last the full academic year. Your new role As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be based in a KS2 resource provision, offering 1:1 support to 12 pupils within the class on a required basis that all have a variety of complex and profound needs, including ASD, LD, GLD, verbal requirements and more. You will support the class teacher in the delivery of exciting, stimulating and engaging lessons by differentiating learning for each pupil and utilising an array of learning resources. As you are supporting pupils on EHCPs, you will be required to accurately maintain individual records and liaise with the teacher and SENDCo on their progress. You will also aid in the development and implement bespoke interventions in key areas including speech and language, behavioural, and emotional.
