Allerton Bishop Search is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint a Director of Quality. This is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping the site’s Quality strategy, leading a high-performing QA / QC organisation, and ensuring robust GxP compliance across operations.
As Director of Quality, you will play a pivotal role in driving a modern, proactive quality culture while supporting the organisation’s long-term growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership across Quality Assurance and Quality Control, ensuring compliance with global GxP standards.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA and QC managers, building capability and driving high performance.
* Partner cross-functionally with Operational, Technical, and Supply Chain leaders to embed a culture of quality excellence across the business.
* As the Director of Quality, you will act as the primary point of contact for UK and European health authorities, including MHRA, EMA, and FDA, overseeing inspections and regulatory interactions.
* Drive continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, and digitalisation initiatives to strengthen long-term quality infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
* Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotechnology is essential.
* Deep knowledge of GxP regulations and industry best practices.
* Proven quality leadership experience managing managers and / or department heads.
* QP status is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work on-site in the South East of England on a hybrid basis.
