About Ormston School
Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Teach allocated areas of the Secondary curriculum to small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Plan, prepare, and present engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your students.
* Assess, monitor, record, and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements of your pupils.
* Adapt your teaching methods to respond to the strengths and needs of each student.
* Set high standards that inspire, motivate, and challenge your pupils.
* Demonstrate secure subject and curriculum knowledge across KS3/KS4.
* Participate in preparing learners for external tests.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subject areas is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* The ability to adapt your teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
* Strong ICT skills, especially in using technology to support learning.

Salary: £28,000 - £39,520
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
