The Land and Mineral Resources (LMR) Department is a multi‑disciplinary team responsible for managing property and mineral resources across all UK business divisions. Our remit covers the procurement of land and mineral reserves, securing the permits needed to operate effectively, and providing specialist expertise across a range of technical disciplines.
These include land management, planning, restoration and aftercare, mineral resource assessment, quarry and tip design, and geotechnical matters
Key Responsibilities
The Principal Landscape Architect will be responsible for:
Co‑ordinating the provision of landscape architecture services within a designated geographic area
Liaising with operational management on all landscape‑related issues
Producing and contributing to extraction schemes in partnership with geologists and engineering geologists
Designing cost‑effective restoration and aftercare proposals
Maintaining up‑to‑date cost estimates for the implementation of restoration schemes
Providing advice on restoration implementation, including contract specifications
Advising on aftercare requirements and best practice
Contributing to development proposals, planning applications, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
Providing guidance on ecological and habitat matters
Securing permits or authorisations for the management or translocation of protected species and habitats
Instructing and managing external consultants
Preparing and managing submissions for restoration and biodiversity awards
Maintaining and implementing agreed systems and reporting requirements to Group
