The Solutions Architect – Security is a client-facing technical sales role that bridges customer business challenges with security-driven, technology-enabled outcomes. As part of the sales team within a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment, you will partner closely with Account Managers to identify opportunities, shape solution strategies, and design architectures that mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and deliver measurable results.
This role is based in London, with approximately 25% travel to client sites, vendor events, training, and internal workshops. You will engage confidently with both technical stakeholders and executive leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on security strategy while enabling sales success through your technical expertise and commercial acumen.
Collaborate with Account Managers to uncover, shape, and progress security opportunities that drive account growth and new client acquisition.
Lead impactful client engagements, including discovery workshops, whiteboarding sessions, tailored proposals, and executive-level presentations.
Design security architectures across network, endpoint, identity, cloud, and data protection domains.
Align security solutions with industry frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS) and regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Build and maintain strong relationships with leading security vendors and ecosystem partners.
Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand risk, compliance, and the business impact of security decisions.
Build long-term relationships with both technical and executive client stakeholders.
Ensure solutions deliver measurable security outcomes and align with client objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
~5+ years of IT security experience, with at least 2+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or consulting.
~ Experience within a VAR, Systems Integrator, or security vendor strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of enterprise security technologies, including:
Public cloud security services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Data protection, threat detection, and compliance tooling.
Broad understanding of enterprise IT environments and how security integrates across them.
Security certifications: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Security, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, AWS, Azure).
Commercial acumen to support and shape winning sales strategies.
