Wholesale Contracts Performance Manager

As a central commercial lead within Royal Mail’s Wholesale function, you will play a pivotal role in managing risk, guiding strategic decisions, and ensuring strong, value-adding relationships with our Access customers. This is an opportunity to shape high impact contracts that influence over £1.8bn of bulk mail traffic and support one of the UK’s most recognised brands.
About the Role
• Act as the central link between product, operations, legal and regulation teams to enable strategic decision making.
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate commercial risks across projects and initiatives.
• Oversee contract performance, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company standards.
• Negotiate and manage complex, high value contracts.
• Lead Access customer communication and Wholesale website management.
• Manage virtual teams responsible for contract administration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contract related matters, supporting customer relationships and reducing business risk.
About You
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of negotiation strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including drafting legal terms.
• Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
• Collaborative, solution focused and able to influence at all levels.
• Experienced in commercial contract management (5+ years).
• Skilled in managing senior level customer relationships.
• Highly organised and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
