Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Previous sterile services experience
2. Evidence of training in decontamination
3. Institute of Decontamination Certificate (IDSc) or NVQ Level 3 Decontamination
4. Computer literate
5. Ability to work under pressure.
6. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
7. Previous experience of supervisory role
8. Experience of working in a Sterile Services facility
9. An understanding of HTM 01-01 & HTM 01-06
10. Previous Team Leader
11. supervisor experience in Sterile services or wishing to make step up
Duties of this role include:
12. Circle Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment, instrumentation and decontaminated flexible endoscopes for use in surgical and interventional procedures.
13. To provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to hospitals, Endoscopy units and relevant paramedical departments
14. To provide effective leadership and supervision within the Unit in all areas including Endoscopy
15. To assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer
16. To assist in the provision of decontamination of flexible endoscopes
17. To maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
18. To promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department
19. To ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained within all areas.
20. To ensure an email handover is completed after each shift worked
21. To ensure email communication between the unit and customers is comprehensive
22. To ensure processes are followed as directed by the Decontamination Manager and in accordance with policies and procedures
23. To work variable hours Monday to Sunday with day and night rotation
