Are you an experienced Shift Leader or Production Supervisor looking for your next step? Our client, a leading manufacturer supplying the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific sectors, is seeking a hands-on Shift Leader to support and guide their production team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining team leadership with practical operational work. Experience in a clean room or similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Split time between 40% team supervision and 60% operational duties
Plan, coordinate and optimise daily workflow across the shift
Ensure operators understand priorities and maintain smooth production flow
Maintain and update operator training records; support cross-training
Provide input for team performance reviews (PDRs)
Record issues, decisions and shift priorities
Manage timekeeping, attendance and conduct, escalating where appropriate
Act as first point of contact for operator queries and equipment issues
Coordinate with Engineers and Team Leads to resolve production or resource issues
Complete clear verbal and email handovers between shifts
Ensure bottleneck processes are consistently supplied with work
Monitor work-in-progress and ensure orders remain on schedule
Oversee batches for external processing and organise shipments
Order and monitor chemicals, materials and consumables
Ensure safe storage and handling of all chemicals
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequirements:
Proven experience as a Shift Leader or Production Supervisor
Background in manufacturing; clean room experience preferred
Strong communication and people management skills
Ability to prioritise, organise and make decisions independently

Week 1: 06:00-14:00 (Mon-Thu), 06:00-13:30 (Fri) and Week 2: 13:30-21:30 (Mon-Thu), 13:30-21:00 (Fri)
