Job Title: Project Accountant – 12-month FTC

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Responsible for the delivery of all core project accounting deliverables for a major element of the Dreadnought Programme whilst ensuring effective financial challenge, governance and support to the programme teams
2. Working with the Dreadnought Project Management Organisation (PMO) lead for your area to deliver robust forecasts into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) process and supporting the project teams to ensure financial commitments are met.
3. Working with the Project to ensure quarterly Contract Status Reports are produced, reflecting an accurate financial representation of the programme.
4. Continuous improvement of financial processes/practices & governance activities
5. Working with internal and external stakeholders including the MOD, Project and Commercial teams, Supply Chain teams, and Central Finance regularly
Your skills and experiences:
* Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or equivalent
* Accounting and financial management experience, including working within a project finance environment
* Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office packages
* Understanding of business and financial modelling
* Experience of influencing across functions and hierarchies
* Experience within a similar Defence environment/role is highly advantageous

Relocation support packages are available for eligible Submarines roles.
