They are looking for a Category Buying Manager to manage a range of food and beverage categories. Reporting into a Senior Procurement Manager you’ll support with data on insight to support timely and cost competitive procurement of materials in line with designated specifications and organisation priorities.
This role will ensuring alignment and the necessary procurement processes, discipline and governance on regional/local spend items are adhered to so to achieve significant savings.
Candidates will have a Degree level qualification ideally in business management or a technical area. You will need to have previous experience as a Buyer/Procurement Manager, within a Food/Retail or foodservice environment. The ability to understand technical issues associated within purchasing and supply is essential and candidates will need to be hugely commercial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with other departments, suppliers and franchisees is key as is the ability to work in a team environment in order to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets.
Most importantly you will be curious, engaging, and able to connect with people across the business, with solid Buying/Procurement experience that allows you to quickly establish yourself within the team.
