Job Role: Learning Disability Support Worker

Hours per week: Full Time

Salary: £12.71

Location: Orford ,Warrington


Requirement : Full Valid UK driving Licence as you will be driving the Residents Disability Vehicles.


Due to the complexity of needs, applicants must have experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour.

This service is located Orford Warrington and this service supports individuals with complex needs, including mental health needs and/or learning disabilities.

We provide supported living in small, well-equipped homes designed to help people live as independently and confidently as possible.

We take a person-centred approach to everything we do, tailoring support to each individual's unique needs, preferences, and goals. By working closely with the people we support and their families, we create personalised care plans that reflect who they are.



A Day in the Life of a Support Worker

As a Support Worker, no two days are the same, reflecting the diversity of the individuals we support. Our approach is centred around person-centred planning, tailoring support to meet each individual's unique needs.

We are committed to achieving positive outcomes for every person we support and celebrating even the smallest milestones in their personal development.

You will receive comprehensive training to provide a wide range of support, including personal care, behavioural support, promoting independence and confidence, and building positive relationships through effective communication.

Previous experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour is essential for this role. Training and qualifications will be provided on the job.

* Participate in supervision, observation, and appraisal processes

You must:

* Use equipment and systems safely
* Support the Service Manager in maintaining a safe environment

* Maintain confidentiality in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and ISO27001
* Share information only with authorised individuals and for appropriate purposes

Person Specification



Qualifications

Desirable:

* A recognised health or social care qualification
* Additional relevant training


Experience

Essential:

* Willingness to learn and develop professionally

Desirable:

* Experience supporting people with disabilities, dementia, mental health needs, or older people
* Experience working as part of a team


Technical Skills

Essential:

* Ability to manage basic numerical data
* Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook)

Desirable:

* Ability to use WCL transport or access to own transport


Personal Qualities

Essential:

* Understanding of safeguarding and ability to recognise concerns
