Position Summary
Arm’s Central Technology (CT) group is looking for a Senior Principal Technology Manager to define and drive the roadmap for AI and compute subsystems spanning Infrastructure, Automotive, IoT/EdgeAI, and Client markets. Your initial focus will be to work on a modular compute subsystem forming the foundation of Arm’s future AI and infrastructure. You’ll lead the multi‑year roadmap and technical requirements across ML acceleration, interfaces, memory, I/O, security, and boot flow. This cross‑functional role engages architecture, product, and engineering teams, as well as customers, to validate technical direction and align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the 5‑year roadmap and requirements for ML/NPU subsystem components.
* Define reusable technology direction across multiple sectors.
* Translate product goals into clear, prioritized technical requirements.
* Align subsystem development with product and market strategies.
* Partner with Product management and business lines to validate market fit and competitiveness.
* Collaborate with Solutions Engineering to ensure downstream feasibility.
* Track AI and compute industry trends to guide differentiation.
* Set KPIs and monitor technology maturity.
* Mentor peers and promote consistent technology planning practices.
* Collaborative partnership with project management.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Background in AI ASICs, SoCs, or subsystem development.
* Strong grasp of ML architectures, boot flows, and HW/SW integration.
* Proven experience driving multi‑year subsystem roadmaps.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
