Overview
Retail Branch Manager – Sudbury (40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday with Saturday on rota). Competitive salary plus pension and company benefits. Salary increases on 1 April 2026 as part of the Company pay review. The PaintWell store is located on Chilton Industrial Estate, serving local homeowners and trades people with a full range of decorating materials. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am‑5pm and Saturday 8am‑12pm.
Responsibilities
* Managing a small team, promoting the branch and the Company's product range to encourage new business.
* Managing, controlling, and developing the overall business of the branch to achieve sales and profit targets.
* Taking responsibility for stock, cash, and branch security.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in a similar or relevant role.
* Experience developing a team.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
* Enthusiastic and proactive about selling, able to inspire staff to achieve high levels of customer service.
* Ambassador for high levels of customer service in line with Brewers Group values.
* Ability to positively represent the Company to a wide range of customers.
* Self‑initiative and ability to work independently.
* Knowledge of the local area would be beneficial.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive excellence.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations.
* Previous experience in the Decorative Industry would be an advantage, but full training will be given to the right candidate.
* Approachable, open and friendly personality – happy to help both customers and colleagues.
* Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual at all times.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
* Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
* Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
* Act as a Key Holder for the branch.
