About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our children's residential home, working closely with young people who exhibit challenging behavior. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to help young individuals achieve their best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality childcare and support to young people.
* Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to create a safe and nurturing environment.
* Maintain clear and accurate records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
* Engage, motivate, and encourage young people in their daily activities.
* Be flexible and resilient in responding to the needs of the young people.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
* Full manual driving licence
* Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude.
* Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy.
* Empathetic nature with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience working with young people.
* Willingness to work towards a fully funded Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People (or already qualified).
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with an average of 38 hours per week, following a 2 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. You will also benefit from:
* Generous allowances for bank holidays and overtime hours.
* A performance-related bonus scheme.
* A sleep-in allowance of £46 per night as needed.
