The Role – Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in Kendal, Cumbria
The successful Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in Kendal, Cumbria will begin in May 2026 and continue for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year, with strong potential for long-term and permanent opportunities beyond September 2026.
As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant in Kendal, Cumbria, you will be based within a Year 6 classroom, providing general classroom support and delivering targeted interventions for lower ability pupils. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, raise attainment, and help pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom
2. Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions for pupils requiring additional support
3. Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
