Come and join our team!
We have a vacancy for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery / Reception team. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with our youngest learners, supporting them as they take their first steps on their school journey.
At our Church of England primary school, we live out our vision every day: “One team, working together, learning together, succeeding together.”
We are proud of our strong links with the local church and the way our Christian values guide everything we do. Our school is enriched by a wonderfully diverse community, including many children from the nearby army camp. This creates a vibrant and supportive environment where everyone is valued.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has experience of working with young children (ideally in an Early Years setting).
2. Understands child development and can nurture children’s social, emotional and learning needs.
3. Can support high-quality play-based learning and early interventions.
4. Works well as part of a team but is also proactive and able to use their initiative.
5. Has energy, patience, warmth and a genuine love for working with children.
6. Is willing to support the wider life of our school and embrace our Christian ethos.
In return, we can offer you:
7. A happy, welcoming school where staff genuinely want the best for the children in their care.
8. Friendly and supportive colleagues who look out for one another.
9. Children who are curious, kind and eager to learn.
10. Supportive families and governors who value education.
11. Opportunities for professional development and to grow your skills in Early Years.
12. A strong sense of community, rooted in care, respect and belonging.
